“A print is a negotiation between pressure and paper. I try to lose the argument slowly.”
Mika Nakagawa makes intaglio and monotype works on heavy cotton paper, building tonal fields through repeated, deliberately imperfect passes through the press.
She joined the MCA programme in 2023 and produces the gallery's editions alongside her studio practice.
