Justin Menendez
Justin Menendez (b. 1981, Tampa, Florida) is an abstract mixed-media artist whose work is concerned with beauty, the ontology of the image, authorship, and aura in a digital age mediated by screens. Each work begins as an improvised painting, which he photographs and deconstructs digitally before printing the result on aluminum and rebuilding it by hand in heavy acrylic.
